Heather Shreve was raised on a Baltimore County farm in Maryland and was captured by the superior beauty of the natural world from the beginning. Heather has been painting and fulfilling commissions since she was 10 years old and has never stopped! Largely self-taught, the years have brought a level of mastery that is hard to duplicate.
From architectural renderings, murals, holiday cards and wildlife, her style has evolved from hyper-realism to a softer ethereal quality which she developed to illustrate her memoirs of Africa: Caught On The Equator, Finding The Fire Within which comes out in early 2013. The book recounts the timeless beauty of Kenya and an unwitting ivory purchase which went terribly wrong landing her in a Mombasa jail. The book will highlight Heather's ability to use a limited palette (Only the three primaries, black and white) as well as the her descriptive literary style.
In addition to her passion for painting, Heather is also a certified Wellcoach, personal trainer and mother of two.
